How does digitization shape your career?
Digitization is everything I do in my career. As VP Operations, I am set to support the mission to provide agility and stability to our development force so that they can design, build and run amazing products at cloud speed and scale, as well as helping them build their skill set as part of the digitization and its expectations. One of my big programs which I lead is focusing on scaling deep technology knowledge and enabling our huge development workforce for the future demands and to continuously engaging and motivating them.
What makes you a digital female leader?
Working in a company of +90,000, you would think that finding female speakers for our technology topics is simply a phone call away. Women represent half of human kind, and even if we do not represent half of the tech workforce yet, we are here and able to make our voice heard. Why are women so shy of stepping up to speaking opportunities? Why is it often a “no, I am not sure I can do that” the first answer you get when you call a female colleague to speak even within her own comfort zone? I wondered. I interviewed. And then I acted. In June 2017, I initiative the program “Women in Technology”@SAP which aims to drive impact of Women in Technology through visibility internal and external of SAP. Since the start of the program I have hosted more than 30+ events globally on technology topics with female speakers, speaker coaching, global networking events and mentorship offerings. The program was build using my network, ideas and imagination. This is a story telling about how I build the Women in Technology Initiative within SAP, counting 30+ events globally, mentorship round tables and close to launching a speaker bureau to make our female talents visible. I have today 3,000 followers for my initiative, a number which is growing daily. Based on this success I am now an invited member in D&I decisions board, also on board level.
What does leadership mean to you?
Leadership to me is leading & shaping our future through passion, genuineness and respectfullness
