Why do you support the category Civil Rights & Politics as a sponsor?

Philip Morris is convinced that companies can make a contribution to our free democratic basic order. We call this “Corporate Democratic Responsibility”. In the category “Civil Rights & Politics” of the Digital Female Leader Award, we see the perfect match with the thematic focus of our own projects, such as Power for Democracy, The Power of the Arts and our study “How we really live”. Just like the DFLA, we support female and male designers who constructively promote public discourse, educate on relevant socio-political issues and give a strong voice to stable and forward-looking coexistence in our democracy. Democracy needs women democrats. In the digital age, women are even more in demand to help shape the most diverse areas of society with their innovations; especially with regard to politics and citizens’ rights.
